To provide quality support and or care to the Service Users in their own homes based upon values of privacy, dignity, respect, choice, rights and fulfillment. To work and help within all aspects of the Service Users’ day to day living and to provide a therapeutic, supportive, caring, structured, calm environment in which Service Users can develop and enjoy the best possible quality of life in a safe, secure and familiar comfort of their own homes.

YEHS We Care Carers may work shifts across all of our services, predominantly with the Service User alone in their home. Main types of our services are divided into Homecare and Live-in Care.

What is an Hourly Care Worker?

By Homecare/Hourly Care we mean periodical visits (care at home less than 3 visits a week, more than 3 visits a week and sleep over) to the Service User’s home duration of which starts from 30min up to 12 hours when sleep over is required. Your work may involve variety of assistance and care tasks during hourly calls, day sits, shifts, sleepovers, which will be specified in Service User’s Care Plan. Normally minimum availability for this type of service would be 16 hours per week with some availability during the evenings, weekends and some bank holidays.

It is crucial for each of our customers to have a stable team of caring and professional care workers whom they can rely upon. Working alongside the care supervisor, the care coordinator will be responsible for making this happen.

The ability to problem solve and think clearly when under pressure is essential for this important role in our company. You will use your excellent planning, organisational and IT skills to make sure that each customer receives the care and support that they expect on time. In line with YEHS We Care policies you must be committed to zero tolerance to discrimination and respecting customer rights.

Care workers may work over the weekend or evenings so the post holder must be willing to be part of the on call emergency team rota.
